Module 1 Farm Safety Signs

We learned about the Farm Safety Signs and completed our work sheets on this lesson.
There are seven categories of safety signs: mandatory, prohibition, warning, danger, fire, emergency information, and restriction. - keep children out of work areas.
- have a fenced off safe play area in view of the home.
- have fencing with mesh right down to the ground - so that children cannot slip through gates and fences or climb over them.
- have easy to read danger signs and tell children what they mean.
- Tractor Overturn Accidents. Workers can become pinned underneath tractors and other heavy machinery when they overturn.
- Falls. Many jobs on the farm require workers to scale heights.
- Entanglements and Amputations.
- Suffocation. Burns.
- Toxic Exposure.
- Animal Injuries.
- Vehicle Accidents.

A few months ago we went on a walk to collect rubbish and we past a gate with farm safety signs we decided have a look at them.Then out of nowhere a horse came and gave us a bit of fright but then it gave us a neigh and walked away.
